MP: FM Deora will present the third supplementary budget today

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Today is the second day of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly's budget session. Finance Minister Jagdish Deora will present the third supplementary budget for the current financial year. This supplementary budget is expected to be around Rs 20,000 crore. The Economic Survey will also be tabled in the House.

Meanwhile, outside the Assembly, Congress MLAs protested before the House began proceedings over the deaths caused by contaminated water in Bhagirathpura, Indore. Congress MLAs, including Leader of the Opposition Umang Singhar, reached the Assembly premises carrying bottles of contaminated water and raised slogans in front of the Gandhi statue.

The Leader of the Opposition said that the people of Indore are going to the crematorium while the responsible people are sitting on chairs. Congress MLA Mahesh Parmar from Tarana, Ujjain, said that the Indore administration and the BJP government have brought shame to the world with this incident.

The House will discuss Governor Mangubhai Patel's address on the first day of the budget session. During the Governor's address on Monday, opposition MLAs created a ruckus over the deaths caused by contaminated water in Indore and the deaths of children in Chhindwara due to toxic cough syrup.

Due to the uproar, the Governor left the House without reading the entire address. However, the Assembly Speaker stated that the Governor's address would be considered read.
