Two feared drowned after boat capsizes in Jhansi dam
JHANSI [Maha Media]: Two teenagers were feared drowned while two others were rescued after a boat capsized in a dam in Raksa area of Jhansi district, police said on Monday.
The incident took place on Sunday evening when four friends had gone for a picnic to Gariya dam. They boarded an unattended boat and ventured into deep waters, where it lost balance and capsized, throwing all of them into the dam.
Hearing their cries, a fisherman, identified as Kallu Kevat, rushed to the spot in his boat and managed to rescue two of the youths, officials said.
